Does anyone know where I can find education based statistics for public schools?

I am doing research for a debate and I need statistics for both public and private schools.

Does anyone know where I can find education based statistics for public schools?
I think you will find this difficult because the government does not like private education and will do it's best to disguise the success of the private/public school sector. Obviously if their standars were poor it would be trumpted from the heavens. It is a case of statistics being used to diguise the truth rather then highlight it. Iregret that you will have to research deeper into the Offsted reports and statistics
Reply:like something like this?

and i dunno what kinda statistic or debate topic you have.. so it's hard to help you look it up :-P
Reply:narrow your comparison to two separate schools in your area: go online to websites of these schools or visit them personally and compare information. You could do this with more schools in your area or refine your search method online by going to local library sites, where more detailed info could be found.
