What are the statistics for miscarriage broken down week by week?

I know that most miscarriages occur in the first 12 weeks. I know that the statistics for miscarriage in the first 12 weeks is quite high, from 20% to 50% depending on the sources. What I would like to know is how many of those occur in the 4th week, 5th week, 6th week, etc. I'm in my 10th week, and I'm wondering if my chances of miscarriage are just as high now as they were last week, for example. Will they be lower when I reach week 11, in other words? Does anyone know this information?

I know a lot of us can relate to this obsession. I'm counting down the days till I reach week 13. I will relax more then.

Thanks.

What are the statistics for miscarriage broken down week by week?
The vast majority of miscarriages occur prior to a woman even knowing she's pregnant. 20-40% occur prior to 12 weeks. Women who have an ultrasound done and are confirmed to see cardiac activity in the embryo, have about a 10% chance of miscarriage. The rate after 12 weeks is 1/200 to 1/300 and that is consistent throughout pregnancy. Pregnancy loss in the second trimester is the least common and usually associated with medical problems in the mother, incompetent cervix or preterm labor. Pregnancy loss in the last trimester is usually due to trauma, severe PIH, diabetes, and cord accidents. If you have had an ultrasound that shows cardiac activity, relax and enjoy your pregnancy. The risk of losing it is very low and not something you can do anything about anyways, so may as well enjoy it! ( OB/GYN)
Reply:In a personal study of miscarriages, I compared 200 women who had miscarriages and found that 70% of the miscarriages occured in the 4th week, 16% in the 5th week, 7% in the 6th week, only 2% in the 7th and 8th weeks, and finally the remaining 3% was spread evenly across the remaining weeks. Reply:yes i understand ur the reason ur worrying so much, but to elimate the prospects of maiscarriage using data and sats doesn't really say for u. it depens if u've had a miscarriage before, miscarriages in the family ur physically health the way you eat now and before u where preganant and so on.
Reply:The miscarriage rate doesn't miraculously drop on a specific date, it constantly goes down throughout the entire first trimester. By 12 weeks the chance of miscarriage is %26lt;2%.

Your ten weeks now 2 weeks shy of the 2% mark, I think you are just worried like any normal woman would be during pregnancy, Im on my third pregnancy 33 weeks and I ws worried like this too with all of them :)

Just relax dont stress ;)
