Statistics?

ok how do you get the median in Statistics .. a bit lost with this one ..

Statistics?
you get all your numbers and put them in numerical order so if you have 1, 7, 9, 3, 8, 2, 3, 4, 7, 2, 6

your list becomes: 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9

then you find the middle number ( in this case, 4)

if your list has an even amount of numbers, you get the middle two munbers and average them out, so you may end up with not a whole number as your median
Reply:500-100= 400

400/2= 200

100+200 = 300 %26lt;-- median
Reply:sum of (data multiply by frequency) then divide by sum of frequency

for EXAMPLE,,,

if it given data 5 frequency 2

data 10 frequency 3

data 15 frequency 1

then to find sum of data

=(5 x 2) + (10 x 3) + (15 x 1)

=55

sum of frequency

=2 + 3 + 1

=6

finally find the median

=sum of (data multiply by frequency) then divide by sum of frequency

= 55 / 6

=9.166666667 or round off 9.17

therefore median number is 9.17...
Reply:if you have a number of 100 and 500, the median is the number in the middle of them two which is 300 and if you have numbers of 200,400,100,800,and 600, you have to put them in order :100,200,400,600,800 and 400 will be the median because it is in the middle
