What prospects are there if I study statistics? What is the pay scale of a statistical analyst?
A good profession to get into with a stats degree is a career as an actuary. You'd be working for insurance companies helping to predict the monetary risks associated with different sorts of accidents / disasters / etc that people buy insurance on to protect against. There is no statistical industry, and therefore no clear pay scale. It really depends on what industry you work in. Even though it's not an industry on its own, it is a key support position in a large number of industries.

How can I get statistics about views of my YouTube videos?
Is there a way to track views of my YouTube videos, both at the YouTube site and when the video is embedded? The YouTube site provides a 'views' statistic, but I don't know if that includes views when the video is embedded. I'd also like to know how many different people have viewed a video, and what sites have embedded the video.
Is there a good source of statistics/information about views of YouTube videos that you can suggest?

How can I get help with Statistics without paying for a private tutor?
I have taken intro to statistics 1 twice before I passed it and now I am trying to pass intro to ststistics 2 for the second time and things are not looking good. The free tutoring my school offers is worse than the classes, none of the stat teachers speak english. I know people who have gotten private tutors but I cannot afford $60 an hour on top of tuition. I need to pass the class for my major but I just don't know what to do, I just don't understand it. Please help.

Reply:Tell your advisor that you need extra help. He/she should be able to guide you in the right direction. Also, speak with your instructor. Most instructor's are willing to come in a little early or stay a little late to help you. If you receive financial aid and you have money left over after each quarter/semester, you are legally allowed to have that remainding amount submitted to you to use how you wish. If your advisor or instructor can't help, you may want to try that.

I can't seem to fit advanced statistics into my schedule during senior year, and wonder if it's going to be a large disadvantage.

It somewhat depends on WHICH grad school you go to. The more the school has courses in research, expectations of a thesis or project, the more statistics will help you. Now the most important thing is to know how to use a computer based stats program.
Now in most MSW programs the research is pretty limited and a basic stats course is usually the only prereq. So in most cases you should be fine.

I am looking for statistics in rochester, mn. Ie what the actually selling prices of homes are, vs their listing price, what is in their house (# of beds/baths, types of coutnertops, flooring, etc).

Can anyone give me some statistics about driving with the radio blaring?
I'm writing a story for my journalism class about people that drive with their radios blaring. I need some statistics about this and I can't seem to find any on the internet. If anyone could please give me a helpful website I'd really appreciate it! Thank you!

Reply:If you know how to be observant and keep looking around you, it doesn't matter how loud your stereo system is turned up. There could be an ambulance coming up on your rear, as long as you see him coming, you don't need to hear it.
The reason I know this is b/c i'm constantly looking around for cops! ;)
